Mobile internet in Indonesia with SIM card Indonesia
With a prepaid sim card Indonesia from Airport Telecom, you can be reached throughout Indonesia on one phone number. Moreover, you have 12GB or 30GB of data. So these cards are very suitable for internet use. Be careful, however, because you can receive incoming phone calls in Indonesia with these prepaid SIM cards, but you cannot make normal outgoing phone calls with them. All calls over the Internet such as Whatsapp, Skype, Facetime, etc. are of course possible. After all, you are then using the data bundle on the SIM card.
Internet and calling while traveling in Indonesia
The phone number of the prepaid SIM card on which you can be reached in Indonesia will be sent to you by SMS after activation of the SIM. It is an English (+44) number. We chose this because the sim in question offers a very good data bundle in Indonesia and uses the largest Indonesian mobile networks. Moreover, this sim card does not require user registration in Indonesia.
Whatsapp with sim card Indonesia
Whatsapp you can continue to use with your own existing contacts, groups and chats. After inserting a prepaid SIM card, Whatsapp may ask if you want to create a new identity or if everything should stay as it was. If so, choose the latter and nothing will change. You can then continue to send messages and make calls with Whatsapp as usual.
Coverage in Indonesia
Indonesia consists of more than 17,000 islands and our SIM cards offer good coverage here. Especially on the famous island of Java, with cities like Jakarta and Yogyakarta, not to mention the beautiful Borobudur Temple, you will find perfect coverage with Airport Telecom sim cards. Also on the beloved Bali, on Lombok and the Gili islands, besides enjoying the wonderful beaches, you can also enjoy a good internet connection. Ideal for remote work. If you are looking for the beautiful nature that Indonesia has to offer, such as Komodo National Park or Borneo with its famous Orang Utans, keep in mind that there is poorer coverage in these areas, as there are fewer masts here to preserve the natural beauty. There is also lower coverage in West Timor.

Very easy
Not the cheapest solution, but it works well and simply.
It would be handy to be able to order extra data. (Maybe this is possible, but I haven't discovered it yet)

Which SIM card to use in Indonesia?
For a short stay of a few days, you probably won't need that much data. The 12GB data bundle for Indonesia may then be sufficient. Applications such as Whatsapp, Instagram and navigation do not consume much data. If you stay longer, it may be useful to opt for 30GB so that you definitely have enough data.
