With a prepaid sim card Bali from Airport Telecom, you can be reached throughout Indonesian Bali on one phone number. Moreover, you will have 12GB or 30GB of data. These cards work throughout Indonesia and are great for internet use. Be careful, however, because you can receive incoming phone calls in Bali with these prepaid SIM cards, but you cannot make normal outgoing phone calls with them. All calls over the Internet such as Whatsapp, Skype, Facetime etc. are of course possible. After all, you will be using the data bundle on the SIM card.

Internet and calling while traveling in Bali

The phone number of the prepaid SIM card on which you can be reached in Bali will be sent to you by SMS after activation of the SIM. It is an English (+44) number. We chose this because the sim in question offers a very good data bundle for Bali and the rest of Indonesia and uses the largest Indonesian mobile networks. In addition, this sim card does not require user registration.

Whatsapp with sim card Bali

Whatsapp you can continue to use with your own existing contacts, groups and chats. After inserting a prepaid sim card, Whatsapp may ask if you want to create a new identity or if everything should stay as it was. If so, choose the latter and nothing will change. You can then continue to send messages and make calls with Whatsapp as usual.

Coverage in Bali

Coverage in Bali is good. In cities and towns like Denpasar, Ubud and Kuta the cell phone works very well. Even on the roads between places it is easy to make contact from the cab via Whatsapp. Of course, in remote jungle or mountain areas there will be less coverage because there are no masts there. But otherwise the coverage is good in Bali. So whether you go surfing in Serangan or dolphin watching at Lovina, sharing photos’s with the home front goes perfectly.
