Android: Check beforehand if your type of Android phone and its version number are in the list of AT&T itself. You can find those via this AT&T link. It is a pdf document. Please check carefully that not only the device type but also the version number matches. This is listed in brackets after the phone type. So the type and version number of your phone should both be in the AT&T list. If this is not the case and you order anyway then it will not work in Canada. We cannot make a refund in this situation once the SIM card is activated for you.

Network coverage in Canada

While enjoying restaurants in Vancouver and socializing in Quebec your Whatsapp and Instagram will work perfectly. It is important to note that in Canada there is a lot of beautiful remote nature too without cell phone coverage. If you make a round trip and take, for example, the famous Icefields Parkway to the national parks of Banff and Jasper, and to the blue-green Peyto Lake you will reach places where cell phones do not work because there are no masts. Among the foxes, moose and bison at Whitehorse, Yukon you probably won’t be able to send Whatsapp. That will have to wait until you are at the CN Tower in Toronto, or at Niagara Falls, which are populated areas with good network coverage.
