Android: Check beforehand if your type of Android phone and its version number are in the list of AT&T itself. You can find those via this AT&T link. It is a pdf document. Please check carefully that not only the device type but also the version number matches. This is listed in brackets after the phone type. So the type and version number of your phone should both be in the AT&T list. If this is not the case and you order anyway then it will not work in Mexico. We cannot refund the purchase price in this situation once the SIM card is activated for you.

Mexico is a huge country with good phone coverage in the cities and well-known coastal towns like Playa del Carmen and Acapulco, but with also many remote areas where there are no transmission towers. In and around Mexico City cell phone coverage is excellent so Churro’s eating in the Centro Histórico or watching “The History of Mexico” at the Palacio Nacional you can navigate or share photos’s with the home front. In the countryside and mountains, this will be more difficult. In Cancun with its white beaches and vibrant nightlife, there is perfect mobile Internet, and the same is true in Zihuatanejo, Cozumel and the many other well-known and crowded places.
